Welcome back to Ask a Doctor service!

I understand your concern and would like to reassure you that your symptoms don't seem to be related to the heart .

You should know that this kind of pain is typical of tendinitis, which is local inflammation.

In my opinion, there is nothing to worry about!

I would just recommend taking Tylenol for the pain and having some rest.

I hope you will find this answer helpful!

Let me know about everything!

Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are not related to the heart.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Your symptoms are really atypical of any cardiac disorders.

In my opinion, there is no need for any additional cardiac tests, as I am sure that they will result normal.

I would just recommend having some rest and taking tylenol for the pain. An antiacid or PPI (omeprazole) would help in case of acid reflux, which sometimes can mimic this clinical situation.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

My answer as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Yes, chronic degenerations of the cervical spine or a bulging disc in this region can mimic this clinical situation.

Tylenol and ibuprofen would help in such case too.

I recommend performing a cervical spine X ray study in case this type of pain persists.

But, I insist that there is nothing to worry about your heart, as your symptoms are extra-cardiac.

So, there is no reason to panic!

Let me know about everything!

Brief Answer:
Your pain is typical of TMJ local inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

You should know that this kind of pain is typical of TMJ local inflammation.

So, as a cardiologist I would exclude any cardiac issues considering the description of your pain.

In my opinion you have nothing to worry about it! Ibuprofen can help improve the pain and reduce the local inflammation. I would also recommend avoiding hard food during these days, as it can trigger TMJ pain.

Hope you will find this information helpful!

I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!

Wishing all the best,

Dr. Iliri
