Question: Hello,
i'm concerned about an increase in my bilirubin. I have lab work done periodically through the hospital and and when I pulled it out and looked at it the other day I noticed a rise in my bilirubin. My bilirubin was staying at around 0.3-0.4 from 2012-2016 and then in late 2016 it jumped to 0.8 and has stayed at 0.8-1.0 since then but i'm concerned that it jumped so much in just eight months. I've added the other blood work that was ran in 2019 for context. I made the mistake of googling a rise in bilirubin and am concerned about pancreatic cancer or an issue with my liver. I do not drink alcohol.

Bilirubin Levels From 2012-Present
Year 2019 (June 2019-1.0)
Year 2017- (December 2017-0.8)
Year 2016 (February 2016- 0.3) (December 2016- 0.8)
Year 2012 (October 2012- 0.4)

Liver Panels (2019)
Liver A/G Ratio 0.9
Liver Albumin 3.6
Liver ALKP 92
ALT 26
AST 20
BUN 16
Calcium 9.2
Chloride 105
Renal CO2 25
Creatine 0.7
EST GFR 104
Globulin 3.8

Brief Answer:
All reports and figures are seemingly normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for the query.

Bilirubin levels less than 3 mg/dl have no clinical significance.
There is nothing wrong with these.
A variation of .2 or .3 could be seen in a same-day, please give a blood sample at three different labs(all will differ).

No further test recommended.
You are perfectly fine.

At the most, a CT Abdomen can be done to calm down your mind(not at all required).

Thank you
