Question: Hello, for the last few days I've been having a pressure in my lower stomach/waist/pelvic area. Sometimes it turns to a sharper pain, but then subsides. My heartburn has been flaring up more then usual as well.

Brief Answer:
Mostly a digestive disorder.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mtgcore,
Thanks for the query.I understand your concern.
*Such heaviness in lower abdomen, can arise from a range of causes starting from digestive problems ,( Hyperacidity, constipation , irritable bowel ) causing excessive gas ..which pushes in various parts of abdominal cavity ( waists, lower abdomen, pelvic region, back, upper abdomen) to cause your symptoms./ more concerning causes like bladder &kidney problems/ appendicular swelling need to be excluded.
*But as you don't have suggestive symptoms for other causes...& have heart burn ,I feel you have digestive problems &gas formation as more possible basic cause.
Self care- You need to take care of your digestive system in form of change in diet/having optimum intake of fibers&lot of water/Taking small÷d servings of food rather than overloading digestive system at a time /Regular exercises -abdominal yoga& walking or running.for 45 minutes a day./Avoiding excessive sleep or sleeplessness /avoid tension/ Have regular toilet habit
Medical diagnosis- Examination by an expert &investigations as per need to exclude/find bowel infections, infestations ,food allergies or diverticulosis & start treatment & care according to doctor's advise.
* In this scenario you should approach your family physician first for primary evaluation, investigations to pin point the cause. & treatment or refferal to expert gastroenterologist .
I hope that answers your query. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
