1. Applying heat or cold: You can try using a heating pad or a warm towel on the affected area to help relax the muscles and alleviate pain. Alternatively, cold therapy in the form of an ice pack or cold compress may help reduce inflammation and numb the area.

2. Over-the-counter pain relievers: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen or naproxen can help reduce pain and inflammation.
3. Gentle exercises and stretching: Engaging in low-impact exercises and gentle stretching routines may help improve flexibility and reduce muscle tension.

4. Massage or physical therapy: Consider seeking the help of a qualified massage therapist or physical therapist. They can provide targeted treatments to relieve muscle tension and improve mobility in the affected area.

5. Stress management techniques: Since you mentioned you have fibromyalgia and peri-menopausal symptoms, stress may play a role in exacerbating your pain. Engaging in stress management techniques like deep breathing exercises, meditation, or gentle yoga can help relax both your body and mind.
