Hello, I Have Been Having (possibly Lymph Node) Abdominal Pain

Question: Hello, I have been having (possibly lymph node) abdominal pain for the last six months now and recently, It started on the lower left side and now has settle more in the middle below my belt line. I have had three clean CBCs with only the recent one from a few days ago coming back with a higher than normal BUN level which was 22. I had a CT scan six months ago in the abdomen and it came back clean. I also had a Colonoscopy which was clean. Now, I am a little worried as my arm pits are a little sore and I get more of a pain right below sternum between my ribs where I hear there are nodes that could be affecting by Lymphoma? I also feel like I have been a little more itchy than normal. I could be other issues, but it's not severe itching, more of an itch somewhere on my body usually waistline and up. I sleep without a shirt on so maybe it could be that, I am not sure. I have also been suffering from some back pain, but I have been seeing a Chiropractor which has helped however I still do feel back pain, usually on the left side near my mid and upper back. I was getting headaches for awhile, but I believe the Chiropractor has helped with that. The most thing that worries is me is I am afraid my neck lymph nodes may be getting swollen. They are not bulging, but they feel a little bit bigger under the skin and the right side seems to tingle every few seconds. I am really worried that I am getting Lymphoma. I have had one cold in the last six months (maybe February) and I am also going through my yearly allergy hay fever time, however it is not bad at all and I don't feel sick. My appetite is the same, no fatigue, no fever, no chills, no weight loss, no cough, a little sweat at night but I feel as that's because it's warm right now. Occasionally, I have a runny noise, but I was thinking that was because of my allergies because it usually only happens when I go outside. My abdominal pain is constant and is more of a dull ache however when I hear my stomach make noises after or before eating, it is always making noises in the place where the discomfort is. I am afraid it could be Lymphoma that deals with my abdomen and now my lymph nodes could start becoming larger while the right neck one continues to tingle. I am afraid that a possible Lymphoma case is starting to show now after the six months of abdominal pain as begun. I have a hard time sleeping as I am really worried about what this. All of this really worries me.

Brief Answer:

Pet ct scan

Detailed Answer:

Hi

I have gone through your history

Common symptoms of lymphoma are enlarged lymph nodes, weight loss, shortness of breath or cough, easy bruising or bleeding and feeling full after only a small amount of food

But you are having enlarged lymph nodes and abdominal pain

That is why you need to do a PET CT scan to rule out lymphoma

For itching you can take cetrizine tablets once daily with your doctors advise

Regards

Should I ask for a PET or CT scan? Should I be worried if the lymph node is not noticeable? How about the tingling in the lymph node area there? I have an appointment with a gastroenterologist on 5/17, is that too long of a time to wait? How about the back pain, should I keep with the Chiropractor? I'm not sure if Lymphoma causes mild headaches or not, I know the chiropractor was helping with that. I've also had a bit of rib cage pain that I believe is Costochondritis, but could that be symptoms of Lymphoma? Last thing is that if I haven't had any other symptoms since my CT scan six months ago, could Lymphoma have progressed that fast with two normal CBCs? Thank you!

Brief Answer:

I do not think you are having lymphoma

Detailed Answer:

Hi

I do not think you are having lymphoma as your last 2 cbcs were normal and you had no symptoms since 6 months since doing CT scan

Lymphoma dos not cause headache and if the lymph node size is less than 2 cm i do not think you should be worried

Thank you for letting me know! I only have a few questions that I wanted to ask. As it's been warm at nights lately, I have been sweating more at night (I have always sweat a lot in general), but I don't know what constitutes as "Night Sweats"? I woke up and went to the bathroom and went back to bed with the sheets a little wet, but I didn't need to change them or my shorts. Also, I felt my wife's Lymph nodes and they felt the same as mine, so maybe they aren't enlarged but I was worried with the tingling. I also feel like my armpits were more soar at night with a little dry skin under them. I also am very active, I play basketball twice a week and workout when I can. If I had Lymphoma, are these the kind of activities that I could have done for the past six months? I will see a gastroenterologist on 5/17 and make sure to get a PET or CT scan, neck to pelvis? Thank you again.

Brief Answer:

Noting to worry

Detailed Answer:

Hi

As you said youself you feel your wifes lymph nodes feel same size as yours and it is warm there and you have night sweats it is natural to have a bit of night sweat when warm with tingling

When you workout and being able to play basketball twice a week i do not think if you had lymphoma you could have done that

Noting to worry
