Brief Answer:
Feedback. Some lifestyle changes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment.

First of all, do not panic.

She needs to keep her hemoglobin levels above ten.
Due to physiological changes during pregnancy, there is a fall in the mother's hemoglobin levels.

Iron requirements for the women are quite high during pregnancy as more portions are used up by the baby to build its own hemoglobin.
Hence, the mother needs to take iron supplements regularly and properly.

I would like to know about a few things in detail:
This will help me to suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1. What was the date of her last menstrual period?
2. What all supplements is she talking?
3. And what is the timing of the supplements in relation to food intake?
4. Any other medical issues in this pregnancy?

As such I would suggest her to opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regime.
Include plenty of fruits and vegetables and salads in the daily diet.
Drink plenty of water in the day.
Avoid refined sugar and deep-fried foods and bakery products.

Please feel free to communicate with me again.

I hope this answer helps you.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Injection therapy helps fast rise in hemoglobin.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back.
I have gone through your reply.
Your feedback is very important for me to suggest you further treatment options.

As per her last menstrual period, she is 35 weeks pregnant now.
She can undergo the course of intravenous injection of iron.
This will ensure that iron dose goes in her body.
It takes 21 days for red blood cell production, irrespective of the route of iron administration.
But intravenous route will ensure fast rise in the hemoglobin levels.
It is safe and you need not worry.

Please do not take oral iron along with the injection therapy.
She can start oral iron after one week of completion of injection course.

Please ask her to take thyroid medication empty stomach early morning, with a glass of water and nothing by mouth for nest 45 minutes.

Rest of the treatment and lifestyle changes as suggested earlier will be of help.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
