Brief Answer:
More information. Clinical examination.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

I have gone through the mammography reports attached herewith.

First of all do not panic.

Your wife's mamography report is showing a lymph node in the axillary area on left side.
Breast tissue in both the breasts is apparently normal.

I will suggest you to furnish me with some more information to help you out in a better way.

1. Is this routine mammography screening or was done for some obvious reasons?
2. Does she have any pain, discomfort or palpable lump in the breast and armpit?
3. Is there any significant medical history?

Lymph are swelling of lymph glands that are found in various clinical conditions like infection, inflammation or malignancies.
Before concluding, it will be necessary to evaluate her clinical condition thoroughly.

Please get clinical examination including breast palpation and axiallry examination done from a surgeon.

Please feel free to communicate with me again.
I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.

Thanks Doctor for detailed reply.

This was routine check up but she has pain sometimes in left side, and feels after house work and when it is pressed.

there is no significant medical history except thyroid.

confusion is, as per report lymph is found in right side whereas she generally feels heaviness/pain/discomfort at left side.

Brief Answer:
Manual breast examination. USG if needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back to me.

Youe observation is quite right.
You have lymph gland on right side and pain on left side.
As discussed earlier, please get manual breast examination done at expert hands.

If needed USG of both breasts can be done.

Secondly, sometimes some skin infection or cracks on the nipples and areola can also cause lymph node enlargement.
Clinical examination will be useful to determine cause of lymph node enlargement.

To improve your general health condition, I will suggest you to opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen.
Include more portions of fruits and vegetables and salads in daily diet.
Daily intake of multi vitamins and multi minerals supplements is advisable.

Please feel free to communicate with me again if needed.
I hope this answer helps you.
