Question: Hello Doctor,

My mother has hyperacidity issues for years.
She also complains of chest pain very often, and the pain goes till back.

We have consulted a Cardiologist who has ruled out Cardiology related issues after doing ECG, TMT, and has suggested that the pain is related to acidity.

We recently got a general checkup done and found that some of the parameters are not in the normal range (Urea, Sodium, Chloride). I am attaching the report. Please review and kindly advise on the future course of action.

She has also had Trigeminal Neuralgia earlier which is better now. However, she still complains of pain on the right side of face and says she feels as if the right side of face is drooping down.

Brief Answer:
Nothing serious

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

There are a few derangements in the lab results. These are not serious and do not indicate any specific illness.

About the symptoms in the face, I would appreciate if you post an image of her face in the front view. I am suspecting bell's palsy which is a problem in the nerve supplying the face.

Is she on any medications for gastritis , if yes, please mention the same.

Regards,

Thanks for the reply doctor.

My mother told that the pain on one side of face accompanies with watery right eye. It is not a consistent issue but happens intermittently and not every day.

Please find the image attached.

We are also concerned about the Sodium Chloride levels, and the chest pain issues. Kindly suggest the future course of action.

Brief Answer:
Insignificant facial weakness

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

I have seen the image and notice no significant defects.

Chest pain has to be managed considering gastritis as differential diagnosis.

The watering of eyes with facial pain could be a cluster headache which can be managed with pain killer.

Need not worry about the sodium levels. It is not serious unless it causes symptoms in her.
