Brief Answer:
Please get a Holter done

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome.
This is Dr Sameer Maheshwari, cardiologist.
Considering the history and you having no significant illness, it looks like the palpitations are just because of anxiety.
But you need to get some tests done to rule out any underlying cardiac illness.
I'll advise you to get a Holter done which is 24hr monitoring of your ecg and heart beat. It will detect whether the palpitations you are having are normal or abnormal.
I'll also advise you to get a 2D echo done.
Thanks and regards

Hello Doctor,

Thanks a lot for your Detailed answer.

Do i need to purchase this Holter device for testing, or is this performed in testing lab itself. If it is performed in testing lab or hospital, do i need to get admitted in the hospital for 24 hours.

Could this be symptom of covid-19.

Thanks and Regards

Brief Answer:
Don't worry this is not a sign of Corona

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXXXXX
Welcome back.
There is no need to get admitted for the Holter monitoring. It is available in centre who do cardiac tests. It is also available in most hospitals with cardiac set up (just enquire before going). It is small machine which hangs from the neck and connected to the outside of chest to monitor the ECG continuously. It is like doing a ECG for 24hr and catch any abnormalities which if seen during this time.
You don't need to purchase it or get admitted for it, it can be put in the center and you can go back home and come back after 24 hours to get it removed. Cost varies from center to center. Report is given generally after 1 day of removing the machine as the ECG of 24hr has to be interpreted in detail.
It is difficult to reach hospital in such short time for ECG during the time of these palpitations(heart beating) and that is why Holter is advised.
And don      worry this is not a sign of Corona. Still keep yourself safe.
Thanks and regards.
