Hi XXXXXXX,
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
The seroconversion takes place at 2-3months time so you need to repeat the test at 3 months.
If you are highly suspicious you can get the HIV PCR testing which is more sensitive but is very expensive.
Optionally if you can get your partner tested and if negative then no risk by now.
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.

i never had any symptoms from day one, feeling completely well. tested at 25days then at 42days and 70 days all negetive, i understand the 3 months window, from your experience could this negative result alter to positive.

Hi XXXXXXX,
Welcome back to Healthcare Magic Physician's Desk!
I personally do not think you have any possibility of turning positive now.
But still to be 100% sure you should revise the test at 3months.
And be aware in future from unprotected intercourse so to avoid mental tensions.
Wish you a great health!

Dear Doctor,

Mine exposure was unprotected vaginal as well as oral sex with sex workers in Mid October thrice.Since then i had taken 13 tests which are discribed as under.I am counting the days since my last exposure on 15th October:-

1 3rd week post exposure-ELISA test

2 5th,7th,9th,11th and 83rd day post last exposure-ECLIA test

3 90 days post last exposure-TRIDOT test

4 97 days post exposure-ECLIA test

5 108 days post exposure-DUO test(p24 +Antibody test)

6 120 days-ECLIA test

7 138 days-ELISA rapid test

8 167 days-ECLIA test

9 193 days-ECLIA test

When i took the ECLIA test at 167 days the pathelogist told me that value is 0.07 though she said the cut off is 1.0.Hence non reactive but when i took the test at 193 days the value was 0.33,the result was non recative still but the value enhanced. My questions are :-

1 Are these tests conclusive enough?

2 Why the numbers are increasing? I mean one time its 0.07 and next time is 0.33!!.Is this a sign of seroconversion or its a typical of test??

3 Is ECLIA test reliable?.As all the ECLIA test have been taken same lab though reputed one..

Please doctor i am tired of testing..What should i do now?I experience dizziness, sore throat, neck pain and loose motions, some red spots on legs and hands thats all.Are these signs of HIV seroconversion..Please doctor donation of 100 dollars on the way..Please answer. My Age is 32 Years,Weight 85 Kgs and diabitic

test name IN-Range Out of Range Reference
HIV AB, HIV 1/2, EIA,
with reflexes
HIV 1/2 EIA AB screen non-Reactive non reactive

A Non reactive HIV 1/2 antibody result does not exclude HIV infection since the time frame for seroconversion is variable. If acute HIV infection is suspected, antibody retesting and nucleic acid amplification (HIV DNA/RNA) testing is recomended

This is the results exactly as it looks in the paper in same order and everything, can you explain me the results? thanks

Hi there, I have had two recent possible exposures to HIV . one was around 6 weeks back and the more recent one was 2 weeks back. I have started seeing the folksinger symptoms last week - sore throat and a few days back some discounted patches on hand and feet. Could I be infected and be in the seroconversion stage?

Hello Sorry for my English. In February I had Oral sex I gave. Unprotected. None ejaculate but do not know what pre-***. No signs of disease have not had. (A few days hurt me in the neck but that s all it was about a month after exposure). I m asthmatic I breathe regularly (Symbicort 200) contains corticosteroids (Ubesodin) I read that you can extend seroconversion. Is that so? In August (23 week) I bought INSTI HIV test half came out negative. (24 week) Blood 4 generation ELISA HIV P24 + half negative. The result lasted about a week. How is it with that protein p24? When no longer found must already be always present antibodies? or it does not coincide? Is 24 weeks 6 months? Now it s 28 week I have swollen glands in the neck, I was at the ENT (sono + liver function test + chemo) results returned alright. Benigni node layout. Liver function tests in the standard) I ve read of Hep C can also extend seroconversion. Liver function tests should identify whether Hep or mono? I had now elevated temperature, sore throat and lymph nodes I started to bat. Today I had the better it took about a week. viraemia (about colds). Please reply with HIV is still a threat to me? Please answer the questions that otherwise might not get rid of;] Thank you.
