2. Will the surgery be under sedation or anesthesia?.

3. When they will remove stitches?.

4. How many days, I have to take rest?.

5. When I can start movement of hand?

6. When can I start start weight lifting , driving car & riding bike?.

7. Will there be any risk of elbow stiffnes?. I undergone manipulation twice after ORIF in order to gain range of motion. Still I have to gain 10 degree more, for complete extension.

8. Is there any need of physio therapy after removal of Implant?.

Expecting your reply

Brief Answer:
It is a small surgery and wound heals in a week or two.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
1. The removal of tension band wiring involves a smaller incision and lesser number of stitches that you had when it was put in. It depends on the length of wire that was inserted. Usually 4-5 stitches.
2. Can be done under sedation also but anaesthesia is a better option.
3. The stitches will be removed after 10-12 days.
4. No rest is needed after the surgery.
5. You can start moving the hand after the pain subsides in few days.
6. You can start it after a week.
7. No more manipulation is needed now.
8. No physiotherapy is needed after the removal.
I hope this answers your query.
