Does Keratin Oil Help In Healthy Growth Of Nails?
Question: I am concerned with my thumbnail bed healing smoothly and evenly, so that my thumbnail grows in well. Is Keratin oil better to put on a growing thumbnail than Vit. E and Jojoba oil? A new product on the market called "Waxelene" I found at a pharmacy on the regular shelf and it has surpassed any skin care moisturizer I have ever used, and I use this around my thumb area (what was not injured) so that it does not become ashy/flakey. Topical Oxygen drops have helped heal my nail bed faster, and the nail bed is growing back and more due to them. I am happy to have found such a product, thanks to the internet. I am wondering how smooth the nail bed should be for a new nail to grow in well and not deformed?

I have seen the image attached and have gone through the details. Keratin oil or jojoba oil have almost an equivalent effect as the purpose of keeping it moisturized is served well by both.
After taking so many measures the new nail is likely to be smooth. You are already taking too many measures to heal well. Do not disturb the area too frequently as it can cause injury and more scarring.
The nail will grow on its own pace. It will take 2-3 weeks to grow fully.
