Does Intake Of Augmentin DDS Help In Curing Severe Cough And Cold?

Augmentin DDS is an antibiotic which contains amoxycillin and clavulanic acid,Ambrodil S syrup contains Ambroxol(sputum thinning agent) and salbutamol(prevents airway spasm).These medications works well in controlling the cough and cold.
Levolin also prevents airway spasm and budecort decreases airway inflammtion.Both these inhalational agents helps in rapid recovery.All these medications are good for cough and cold.Sometimes it takes 7-10 days for complete subsidence of symptoms.I wont get worried if child is otherwise active and there is no breathing difficulty(retraction and rapid breathing).If you notice any breathing diffculty please consult your pediatrician immediately.
As the cough is severe I would like to add promethazine syrup(each 5 ml contains 5 mg) which is an antiallergic and also prevents vomiting.The dose for this age would be 2.5 ml three to four times a day.This is a prescription medicine so please get it prescribed by a pediatrician.
