Question: HI! My husband underwent 2 open heart surgeries last year, due to a blood clot in his left ventical, that burst and ripprd his heart. he has a double patch, and in order to do this, the first surgery did not work, and they airlifted him to another hospital wnding up in inabation and sedation for a month before all was done. As well as a stroke, and I was wondering if personality changes are normal.. he is very mean
and snaps when I change the tone of my voice. he is now verbally abusive, and is almost impossible to live with

Behavioural and personality changes could occur with strokes affecting the frontal lobes. If you can upload the MRI brain report, it would be helpful.

As of now, medications such as quetiapine and olanzapine could help his behaviour.
