Question: can prozac make your face dry and break out in bumps and feel kinda tingly? I started taking it a week ago and noticed my face has been dry and today I just notice some skin colored bumps.

Brief Answer:
Yes,it may be the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome to HCM forum.

Prozac contains the generic fluoxetine,an antidepressant.
It can cause the said symptoms either due to allergic reaction(which needs stopping the drug) or as a part of its dermatological side effects.

As you have started the drug 1 week ago, this is less likely to be an allergic reaction.Allergic reaction usually comes soon after starting the drug, and progresses rapidly.Your symptoms may be due to non allergic skin side effects of the drug.Side effects like excessive sweating, rashes, vasculitis, itching, erythema multiforme etc can occure with fluoxetine.

So,it will be fine if you could get back to your treating doctor so that we can differntiate the said symptoms from other primary skin conditions, and manage accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
Thank you.
