Posted on Tue, 25 Apr 2017
Question: Recently have had very sore neck muscles up into the scalp. Tried massage and chiropractic adjustment but pain has returned. Taking Eliquis, bystolic, pravastatin, losartan HCTZ, panyoprazole since December plus synthroid, advair, and D3 2400 mg. Could any of these medications be causing this neck pain?

Brief Answer:
Pravastatin.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

Pravastatin medicine can cause muscle problem if taken not under supervision of doctor.

I advise you to consult your doctor again as he had prescribed you so much medicines that dose of pravastatin must be titrated according to your age and physical examination.

Also don't take all these medicine at one time, keep a time lag between these.

I hope you find this discuss useful.

Thanks,
