Posted on Sun, 30 Oct 2016
Question: I ve been taking 2mg of Ativan a day for about two weeks. I also took a couple 1/2 Percocet pills I am prescribed for a back injury the last couple nights. Will this affect my liver enzymes or kidney tests? I am scheduled for a CBC tomorrow. Should I not due the CBC until I give it a chance to clear?

Brief Answer:
Consideration

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

Regarding impact on your liver enzymes, lorazepam at 2 mg daily should not have any significant impact. Also if you have only taken a few Percocet tablets this also should not significantly affect your liver enzymes.

Regarding your CBC or complete blood count, neither of these medications should significantly affect your blood count results.

I would recommend that you proceed with obtaining your blood tests tomorrow as scheduled again as these medications should not have any significant impact.

Thank you again for sending a question.

Sincerely,

I meant to say CMP, not CBC. Will it affect the CMP?
