Does HIV Spread Via Food Or Drink Sharing?
Question: Hello Doctor,
I had been hanging around with a person last week,whom I recently knew.I had been drinking daily with him,sharing snacks from the same pocket.I noticed small wound with dry blood in his mouth,I also have a mouth ulcer in my lip(not exposed outside,in deep.I do not have open wound/cut,but I my outer skin is peeled.Of late,I came to know he had protected sex with hookers 3 days before I visited his place.Since I share food from same pocket while drinking,am I at risk of HIV ....we 1)did not have intercourse,2)did not bite each other,3)did not use needles,4)I did not feel any body fluids in my hand5)did not Kiss....am i at risk of hiv through saliva by sharing the same pocket.
