Posted on Tue, 14 Jul 2015
Question: I take Bupropion 150 MG each morning, Trazodone 100 mg at night and Mirtazapine 15 mg at bedtime. I have extreme ED. What drug might be the most serious cause of this condition? I have a good case of PTSD which is the reason for the drugs. But I may on one drug to many.

Brief Answer:
Antidepressants the cause plus age related funcional decline

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Bupropion , trazodone and mirtazapine are all antidepressants and antidepressants are notorious for reducing libido and performance of penile organ.

Three of them together has potentiated each other effect of causing libido and ED and thus led to severe ED in your case. Of these three trazodone is biggest criminal followed by mirtazapine and then bupropion.

So i would suggest talk to a sex therapist and let them taper the dosages for you and find a way to get your pleasures back by different ways from medications to vacuum devices etc after ruling out contraindications for that.

Nutshell you need to reduce the antidepressant use and get a sex therapy.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
