Could You Please Assess Sonography Does These Reports Indicate Normal Progress?

Question: Hello,

We want to share that we are expecting a baby, and my wife is three and a half months pregnant. I have attached the sonography reports and the prescription with this query. Could you please assess if these reports indicate normal progress?

Furthermore, there is a concern regarding my wife's blood pressure. During our visit to the gynecologist after two months, her BP reading was 90/130, leading the doctor to recommend regular monitoring. To measure her BP at home, we purchased the Omron HEM 7140T1 Blood Pressure Monitor. Surprisingly, the readings at home for SYS ranged from 110-115, and DIA was between 70-76. Consequently, we did not take any medication in the third month. However, during the fourth-month checkup, her BP was 130/90, prompting the doctor to suggest a low BP dose. Despite this, our home measurements consistently show SYS readings around 110-115 and DIA between 70-76.

Currently, my wife has not started BP medication as she has not experienced any symptoms or complications related to high BP. Could you please advise if it is necessary to begin the BP medicines now? Additionally, could you kindly explain if there is a possibility to delay taking the BP medicines, how much delay is acceptable?

Thank you for your guidance.

HI

About the BP issue of your wife...considering the electronic BP monitor you are using...I would suggest check the battery being used...to confirm its results. The reliability of such apparatuses is considerably good..
Now the rise of BP she gets in the BP readings taken at her doctors consultation. Here two factors can be causative...1.She might be getting stressed during BP check up,it can be physical stressed incurred during going to the doctors chember.(it can be controlled by a gap of restoration having some casual talk with the doctor before checking BP.
2. It can be error of the machines(either at doctors or that of your own machine)
To clear this doubt...BP check up with third machine(probably with your family physicians machine..will help.
*About the medicines..BP medicines need to be taken during pregnancy for safety of pregnancy...so you can start with it after verifying it with repeated readings.Bp record to be maintained weekly&shown to her doctor at each pregnancy check up.
* The usg report &blood counts are normal (except for signs of mild anemia..which will be controlled well with medication &diatory suppliments). Please don't be tense.
I hope that satisfies you. Please continue the medicines advised by her doctor.About BP medicines her doctor has to decide according to her reports of BP.
I hope that helps you.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.

Dear Mam,

We are truly grateful for your kind and informative response.

We have a couple of more questions:

Q1: Could you please suggest suitable exercises considering her current condition?

Q2: We understand that predicting the delivery method is not possible. However, could you kindly provide some suggestions that might increase the chances of a normal delivery for my wife?

Your guidance is invaluable, and we appreciate your assistance.

Thank you.

HI
Your baby seems to be normal at present gestational age.
- Yes in early pregnancy, before 4 months, I usually recomend respiratory exercises like pranayama(long breathing, anulom vilom, ujjayi, bhramari&meditation for 10 minutes in morning.
A moderate walk or 20 minutes a day is recommended.(ofcourse all of these are to be started after her doctors advise...who has actually examined& assessed the pregnancy.
- After mild physical yogasan postures should be practiced daily..very slowly & under an expert guidance)
Walking for 30 minutes is to be continued.
*moderate exercises help physical, psychological health of mother&child development. It also helps normal delivery.
Use of yoganidra audio cassette is beneficial for sound sleep.
(For more specific instruction please go through my pregnancy guide book"Path to motherhood"..a Manipal university publication, available on XXXXXXX .)
I hope that helps.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks
