Child is having typhoid with low body temperature. Is this ok?

i need to know is it ok for the temperature to go down to 97.3 when he has typhoid he is 10 years old

In active typhoid infection often fever is high and continuous ... normal body temperature is 97.8 to 98.6 degree F.

Temperature lowering below this is not recommended. This applies for core temperature; often how low temperature can get is not in hands of doctor or drugs.

Rapid lowering of temperature is often risky but it can at times be a part of worsening disease process.
Apart from disease process reduced body fluids, cold water sponging, prolonged sponging with fan on may also cause low temperature.

Whenever you get such low temperature it’s always better to get it confirmed by a doctor and treated accordingly for issues mentioned above.
