Child Has Cough And Runny Nose. No Relief From Antibiotic. Safe And Effective Remedy?

Question: my son has a very bad cough which sounds very dry , but on the other hand he vomited lot of mucus while coughing his nose is blocked and also his throat is quiet red, he was prescribed antibiotics and he completed his whole dose now after four days of finishing his course again he has runny nose and cough! fever is not there till now but was having high fever before he had his antibiotic

Hi,
From what you describe,he has post nasal drip-that is from his nasal block, cough, and swallowed sputum coming out as vomitus.
You have to use some pediatric nasal decongestant nose drops and medicine to take orally.
This is most probably viral and that is why his symptoms are persisting in spite of antibiotics.
The whole episode will take some more time may be a week more for him to completely recover.
You can also try some anti histamine syrup--- pl get it prescribed there or you can use over the counter syrup if available in your place.
