Question: What are confirms tests for vitiligo,is woodslamp,one of them,,,,,is vitiligo trasmission common in third generation,or second which foods should be avoided in vitiligo

Brief Answer: details below Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for writing to us. I will answer your questions specifically 1.vitiligo can be confirmed by wood's lamp examination. In fact clinical examination is sufficient to diagnose it. Skin biopsy woukd be a definite confirmatory test. 2. Vitiligo can be hereditary. It can be seen in third generation. However family history is seen in almost 10 percent cases. Vitiligo is mostly sporadic 3 . studies say no particular diet is associated with vitiligo. So as such there are no dietary restrictions. But some believe foods rich in vitamin c can increase vitiligo. Hope this answered your query. Take care.
