Can Vitamin B12 Deficiency Cause Dry Cough?

Question: İ get a dry cough after every cold that lasts for more than 3 months. This has been happening since more than 10 years now. Allegra and montair is not working fully. Can this be B12 defficiency? What is you advice?

By your history and description, possibility of post infectious bronchitis is more.
Bronchitis is common after viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI).
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system, PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT is must for the diagnosis of bronchitis.
It will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
Vitamin b 12 deficiency is not likely cause of this.
Possibility of post infectious bronchitis is more. So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
