Brief Answer:

Please furnish with some more information.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

First of all do not panic.

As per your history, you had vomiting 1 hour after taking the pills. I would like to know if you vomited out the tablet also? Or not?

Secondly, I could not get information about your the date of your last menstrual period. When did you have your last menses?
What kind of protection was used when you had sexual activity?

Are you still suffering from vomiting?

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Brief Answer:

Medications to stop vomitting. Good chance to prevent pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

As per your history, 16 to 25 March is the most fertile period of your cycle, means between day 10 to 20 of the cycle.

If you suspect that you had sexual activity in this period with doubt about protection, then you are right in taking the emergency contraceptive pills.

As you have not vomited out the tablet, possible that it has been absorbed in your body.

And as it was taken within 72 hours of unprotected sexual activity, it can help to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

In my opinion your symptoms of vomitting can be due to high dose of progesterone hormone in the pills.

I will suggest you to seek prescription support from your treating doctor for antiemetic like Ondensetron 4 mg twice a day for 5 days and antacid like Omeprazole once a day for 5 days.

Now, you need to wait for the withdrawal bleeding that occurs after taking emergency contraceptive.

Withdrawal bleeding that occurs after emergency contraceptive pills is quite erratic, It can be early or late and it can be scanty or heavy.

Secondly, if you happen to cross your expected date of menses in the coming month, then you need to rule out pregnancy as a cause of your delayed periods.

In that case, please get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. in case of any doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Okay
But if i am vomiting after taking the pill from past 2 days is it quite obvious that the pill is dissolved in the body?
And the bleeding will also confirm this?

Brief Answer:

Wait for withdrawal bleeding.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

As you have rightly said that tablet was not thrown out in the vomitting,it was after one hour of taking the pills. Usually, tablets must have been absorbed in the body within one hour.

Secondly, it is the high dose of absorbed tablets that is causing you to vomit.

I will suggest you wait for the withdrawal bleeding. Or wait at least till your expected date of menses.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Brief Answer:

You can decide as per your comfort level.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

If vomiting is affecting your daily work schedule, then it is better to take antiemetic medicine.

Excessive vomiting can lead to dehydration and salt and water imbalance.

You can judge your personal comfort level and decide about the medication.
