Question: Is there any evidence that a daily use of sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate as a nasal wash has anosmia side effect?
Answered by Dr. V. N. S. Parinam 35 minutes later
Brief Answer:
No direct evidence

Detailed Answer:

There is no direct evidence or no robust studies to say daily nasal irrigation couldn itself cause anosmia.
however you should be careful about the pressures, temperature, the neti pot or syringes that you use. they should be gentle and autoclaved.
pressure and temp could damage the nasal mucosa.
