Can Sleep Apnea And Hypertension Cause Persistent Chest Pain?
Question: Hello Doc,
Medical history
1. Asthma - taking budecort , doc has prescribed seroflo but seroflo is causing high palpitations and running heart rate hence using budecort
2. Iron deficieny anemia
3. Hypertention and high pulse rate - Taking Delizem tablet 90 mg for the same
4. Gastric problem - Done endoscopy and other reports like CRP and calprotectin
My question is she is having chest pain which goes to the back every 5 - 6 days anytime of the day and it lasts for 2 hrs sometimes 30 min and soo on. she has difficulty in swallowing even water at times
We thought it might be related to heart but Echo and ECG are normal and nothing related to heart.
She has sleep apnea and asthma .
Her symptoms are
wheezing
high heart rate
Difficult in swallowing
shortness of breath
she has curretly started nexpro 40mg twice a day before food and pregaba 75 mg for the same . Will this help?
Please advice what medications she can take for the same .

Hi,
Nexpro is an acid inhibitor and help in reflux control while pregabalin is for neurogenic pain.Usually its given in patients with sciatica etc. All cardiac investgations are normal. All gastric investigation are normal.
So only possibility is acid reflux or anxiety or muscular pain. Doctor has given meficine to control acid reflux. Wait and see how she responds to this. For Prega 75 doctor must be suspecting a pain of neural origin so have tried unconventional approach.
