Question: i have tinnitus in the ears should i have knee surgery since I have to do a lot of coughting

Yes Tinnitus is due to ear problems

Hi madam.Thanks for your query.

Knee surgery can be done although you may have been having cough.Cough will not alter the results of surgery.

Tinnitus in the ear has to be evaluated for ear problems and other vascular problems.I would ideally do ENT examination, ask for carotid doppler (to exclude blood vessel blockage) scan and advise accordingly.Tinnitus can be medically managed and nothing to panic.
