Question: I was diagnosed with stomach tb and doc prescribed Rcinex (rifampicin 450, isoniazid 300), combutol, pyzina and efcoba plus. Now only Rcinex n efcoba is to be continued for another 2 & half months. The dose of combutol n pyzina is over 1&half months back. Can we plan for our baby now? Will the medicine harm the baby?

It can harm the baby.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
Refampin is a category c drug means it can cause teratogenicity and fetal birth defect in animals but no human studies done but in my opinion better you should first complete your course than plan to concieve.
Hope found useful, feel free to ask more information.
Good luck.
