I go to rehab twice a week. 5 min of walking is all I can do EF is 25 Left side of heart is scar tissue from repair of anyerism. I Want to be active. Cardiologist said they don't look at ejection fraction anymore. last two echoes they said they couldn't get the outside wall of the Left Ventrical . My question is Can an echo be done while exercising. Do you think I would be Elgible for an LVAD. That's the only thing I need know as the cardiologist said my heart is not causing My problems. Brief Answer:
You are eligible for LVAD

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Sorry for the delay in my response.

No, Echo cannot be done while exercising. The heart wall motion will be fast so as to determine the mechanics by an echo. The heart has to be under normal pace to determine the EJ, wall motion, valve competence etc.

Yes, You can get a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) considering your heart condition. I would believe the symptoms you have could be related to the hypomotility in the heart. EJ of 25 is for sure a major heart defect which can result in the symptoms like you have.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

Regards,
