Can A Toddler Be Given Influenza Vaccination?

Question: My son has completed 2 year in Oct 2014. All vaccinations were up to date as per vaccination schedule card. Some one told me that, he should take influenza vaccination as well. I am not sure about that as it was no where listed in vaccination schedule card.

Please advise.

Influenza vaccine is not recommended in children. Neither does XXXXXXX Association of Pediatrician immunisation schedule nor Government of XXXXXXX immunisation schedule recommends Influenza vaccine.
