usually topical antifungals like Candid (clotrimazole) are used in case of infants. Zocon (Fluconazole) can be given but only if the treating pediatrician deems it required but please do not give it on own consideration without consulting a doctor. Its dose is 12 mg/kg IV or orally and so you will have to match the dose with his weight.

My baby is 6 weeks old and had thrush and pediatrician has recommended zocon-50dt half tablet to be taken alternate days.. Half tablet was given yesterday and the baby is in sleep most of the time now. Is that due to the tablet ?

It is fine that your doctor has prescribed Zocon. Give it as directed. This medicine will not cause excessive sleep. But I am worried if the excessive sleepiness could denote lethargy which could occur in case of an infection. Please mention it to your treating physician so that he can intervene accordingly.
