Question: I drank 2 glasses of wine between 6 and 7 pm tonight. It's now almost 2 AM. Having heart palpitations. Can I take a .255 Xanax to calm my anxiety

Alcohol is the likely cause of your palpitations. Most often it is due to a condition called paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) which subsides on its own and does not need treatment. Wait and watch. Relax. If the condition does not resovle, visiting the ER would be a good idea.

I would not insist you to take Xanax as alcohol and xanax can produce a number of negative interactions. Going through the following should help:
