Can Viagra Be Taken While Taking Amlodipine And Losartan For BP Treatment?

Question: I am 67 and on 5mg amlodipine (that I take late evenings) and 10mg losartan plus (that I take mornings) to treat mild high blood pressure, for some months now with good results (135/90). Once a week I take 50mg viagra (well before the night dose of amlodipine) for better sex with my wife. Is that OK with these medicines? If occasionally I cannot have a sufficiently strong erection would you recommend raising the viagra dose to 75mg or 100mg? Thanks, XXXXXXX

Continue in the same spirit and the complications related to high blood would be delayed for as long as possible. There is no contra indiaction to using amlodipine, losartan and viagra together. Feel free to use them together. Also, the maximum dose of viagra per day is 100mg 0.5-4hours before sex. Should you feel that 50mg wasn't good enough, trying 75mg would be a great idea before moving to the maximum which is 100mg. Depending on the results, further adjustments cam be made. have you discussed the difficulties you are facing with 50mg with your doctor? Dear Dr. Chobuto Ditah, thanks for the reassuring answer. I have a follow up question. In my locality (Israel) viagra is a prescription-only drug and very expensive. I know there are credit card websites abroad offering much more reasonably priced viagra sent by courier but how can one be sure of quality?
