Silvadene is Silver sulfadiazine and it is used in the treatment of skin burns. It is not to be used on mucus membrane like the inside of the vagina.
Itching can be a side effect of Silvadene.
Vaginal itching is usually due to candidiasis (yeast infection ). Local application of an anti fungal cream like canesten and taking Flucanazole orally would give good result.
