Can Rozat F-10 Be Taken Twice Instead Of Rozat F-20?

Question: The cardiac specialist has prescribed Rozat F 20 for my mother in law since she has high cholesterol. but Rozat F 10 Mcg is the only medication available in the pharmacies. can she take 2 tablets of 10 mcg instead.

Regarding your concern, I would explain that there is no problem in substituting two tablets of Rozat F10mg with one of 20mg.

It is quite the same thing.

So she can take two tablets of Rozat F10mg instead of one tablet Rozat F 20mg.

I would recommend periodically check her blood lipid profile, in order to make the proper dose adjustments if necessary in the future (this is not a low dose).

If she experiences symptoms like chronic fatigue, nausea or muscular cramps or pain, I would recommend consulting with her doctor as these symptoms are possible adverse effects of this drug. In such case a reduce in the dose should be considered.
