Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would like to explain that you may take those 2 pills concomitantly even if it is prescribed just for hypokalemia prophylaxis and no clinical hypokalemia is present).

Hypokalemia prophylaxis is generally started with 20 mEq orally once daily.

But, you need to be careful and periodically check your renal function tests and blood electrolytes level.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

In case of any further uncertainties, feel free to ask me again.

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
