Can HIV Be Contracted Through Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?

default
Posted on Mon, 20 Jun 2016
Question: Hello doctor,

I recently had a body massage and the messeuse ended it with a unprotected handjob. She used massage oil and had no visible wounds/cuts/blood on her hands. She had long nails and might have scratched my testicle(no bleeding)

1. Am I still at risk for Hiv?
2. Do i need to get tested?

Highly appreciate your advice.
Thanks
doctor

Brief Answer:
No risk of HIV

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You are concerned about contracting HIV from a hand job given my a massage therapist. She had long nails and may have scratched you. There is no risk of contracting HIV through this type of exposure. You do not need to proceed with any HIV testing .

In summary
No risk of HIV
No testing required
