Can Femilon Be Taken For A Long Duration?

Question: I m 28 year old female and I hv started femilon guided by my gyno after d&c on may.and Dr had prescribed me to take femilon on 4th or 5th day of my period..bt that time I was far away wd my husband therefore I had not taken femilon in XXXXXXX month and on Jun 26 I had got my natural period and I hv taken femilon on 29 jun(4th day of period)and after this on 16 july(18th day tablet)I had forgot to take pill at night and I hd taken it soon early morning on 17 July bt that time I was far away wd my hubby and on 19 July my femilon strip was over and on 20july I had unprotected sex wd my hubby bt today is 4th day of my pill free day,i didn't get my period yet. I hv done pregnancy test today bt it was negative....is any chances to getting pregnant????and my gyno had advised me to take again femilon on4th or 5th day of my periods bt some Dr says that pill start again after 7 pill free days and in some cases may not come...I m confused about this what is a correct time to take pill again and what hv to do if period will not come??and one another question is my gyno advised me to take femilon maximum 6 month bt I consulted with other drs and they have told me that femilon is 100 %safe for long time and I want 2 continue femilon at least 2 year...is it correct for me????plz clear my all doubts....

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
One has to wait for at least 7 days in the pill free period for the bleeding.
New femilon should be started on the 1 St day of the periods.
You can continue the femilon for long term beyond 2 years, if it is well tolerated and there are no associated side effects.

Mam,any chances to getting pregnancy in case which I hv described u???and mam today is my 4th day if pill free day bt I have not got my period and in some cases periods may not come I hv heard .If I not get my period then is any complication???and if not then when I hv to start my next femilon strip????after 7th pill free day or hv to wait my period and in which day of period 1st or 4th???
Plz suggest me

You should wait for 7 days for the periods.
If the periods do not come, then you should get the urine pregnancy test to rule out any pregnancy.
If you get your periods, then you should take your femilon from day 1.

Tq mam.....bt I wanna ask this that I hv forgot 18th day pill at night bt so only I hv taken this at early morning and that time I was not come to contact with my husband and after this I hv unprotected sex on my first pill free day and except this pill I hv taken all pill at same time.s o I want to ask this only that is any chances to getting pregnant bcoz I m worried about pregnancy and I hv done pregnancy test on 4th pill free day and that was negative so on 4th pill free day the negative result may be accurate or not????
