I think she's got bacterial conjunctivitis cos my toddler had it a week ago too and doctor gave the chlorsig for him so it seems to be passed on to the little one now.. is it not safe to use in babies?

Brief Answer:
You can use - no problem

Detailed Answer:
Hi..... you can use chloramphenicol eye drops for the 16 month old baby also. You can put one drop in each eye 8th hourly once for a period of 5 days.

If you see no improvement kindly consult your ophthalmologist a paediatrician.

I advised you not to use antibiotic drop for cleaning and wiping the baby's eyes....not for regular instillation.

Sorry to have misunderstood your query. You can use chloramphenicol eye drops as I have suggested.

Regards - Dr. Sumanth
