Can Bystolic Be Taken Instead Of Losartan?

default
Posted on Tue, 29 Sep 2015
Question: I have run out of my Rx for Losartan 100 mg and drug stores are close. I have a sample of Bystolic 5mg that I use to take. Should I take the Bystolic for today until I get my Rx filled tomorrow or should I just skip today and wait til tomorrow to take the Losartan 100 mg again.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
can wait

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM

The two belong to entirely different classes
No need to take a new drug / Bystolic is a Beta-Blocker and is not to be taken or stopped on as needed…
Skipping for a day is not serious, if the pressure is controlled…
