Posted on Thu, 30 Mar 2017
Question: I stayed at a hotel and the next day when i woke up i noticed a red sore that feels like a large pimple. Could this be a bug bite or some other skin condition?
Its also located at my waistline .

Brief Answer:
Either furuncle or insect bite reaction

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
I have gone through your complaints as well as reviewed the attached photograph.
It seems to be either a furuncle which is bacterial infection of the hair follicle or insect bite reaction.
Is it associated with pain, burning or itching? I can tell you what to be done if you can detail about the problem.
Regards
Dr Asmeet

Brief Answer:
Seems to be furuncle, apply topical antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
It seems to be furuncle most likely.
I would recommend you to apply topical antibiotic like neosporin ointment or fusidic acid cream on the affected area twice daily for 7-10 days.
