Are Codeine And Hydroxyzine Safe For A Drug Sensitive Patient?

Question: Going for knee surgery. Have no tolerance for codein so doc prescribed tramadol for post op pain along w hydroxyzine for nausea which may come w tramadol. I'm very drug sensitive . If there's a side effect I usually suffer from it . Any ideas? ( right now scheduled for repair multiple meniscus tears osteophyte smoothing and removal of multiple intra articulated bodies in supra patellar region (by sports med surgeon). This may change to some kind of knee replacement on advice of rheumatologist.
