Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

This is just to let you know that the injured soft tissue needs some time to heal and recuperate. It takes any way around a week (minimum). In the meantime -
* the injured part should be given adequate rest without imparting any strain on it
* Use ice packing once in every 2 hours
* Apply moist heat over the affected area so as to make the soft tissues supple
* Analgesic or muscle relaxant gel application
* Pain killer medicines as needed

If you don't find any relief with the above measures, Propably you may need an MRI scan to rule out any serious injury inside.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
