Prolonged Periods, Advised Follicle Stimulating Hormone Test. Will Regesterone Alter Test Results?

mydoctor had asked me to get follicle stimulating hormone test done on the fifth day of my cycle. as my period had got prolonged ( pregnancy test was negative) , i took 2 tabs of regesterone for 3days. i have given by bllod sample for FSH test on fifth day. Will my test results get affected in any way because of regesterone. kindly reply thankyou

Regesterone ( norethisterone ) acts at the nucleus by binding to progeterone receptor to produce progestogenic effects.
With this you can easily understood that regesterone will not interfere with the result of F S H as this is released by pituitary gland.
