Wrist Pain From Childhood, Sometimes Happens While Stressed. Any Ideas?

Hi.
Ever since I was pretty young every so often my wrist hurts. It feels as though it is my veins that hurts, but seeing as they do not have nerves I don't have a clue what it is.
Some times it happens when I am stressed maybe it could be in the mind?
All I know it it can really hurt, it isn't very often about once a year maybe.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain in the wrist is likely to be related to arthritis. Such joint pains since childhood are usually autoimmune in origin. Do consult a rheumatologist for proper treatment and diagnosis.
