Will Risperidone Intake Lead To More Weight Gain In An Autistic Child?
My daughter has been recently diagnosed has having austism and was put on Risperidone by a specialist and to our alarm has now put on 9 kgs since been on for 6 months. We were told about the possible weight gain but did not anticipate such a huge impact. Will this weight gain continue if she stays on Risperidone?

Risperidone is atypical antipsychotic and it cause weight gain. 9 kgs in 6 months is too much. her weight would continuously increase if she takes risperidone. discuss this will ur psychiatrist and prefer to shift to other antipsychotic.
