Will Metoprolol Reduce The Feeling Of Taking Marijuana?

hi ive had panic attacks and anxiety for the last 4 years. I m on zoloft and klonopin/xanax, 2mg a day. I wanna start smoking marijuana again but it increases my heart rate a lot. Is metoprolol a good medication to take to negate this? I have 50 mg pills prescribed for my said panic and anxiety. I m 21, 6 foot 3 and 245 pounds

Hi... when you smoke marijuana, it stimulates your sympathetic system and increases the heart rate. The extent of stimulation varies in different individuals.
Metoprolol is a beta blocker which can reduce heart rate , but it not meant to be abused by using it to reduce tachycardia induced by marijuana.
I would recommend not to use marijuana since it has got lot of adverse health effects. But if you still insist on using marijuana, you can use metoprolol/propronalol to reduce heart rate with your own risk.
