Will Changing Telmisartan And Bisoprolol Medicines Help In Dizziness And Slow Heartbeat?

Am taking telmisartan 40mg/amlodipine10mg every morning and bisoprolol 5mg/hctz6.25mg at noon and I feel dizziness and slow hearbeat. Could I change the medication to telmisartan4omg/hctz 12.4mg in the morning and bisoprolol 5mg/amlodipine 10mg at noon?

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

While on anti-hypertensive drugs, dizziness can occur due to ether, excessive fall in blood pressure with or without slow heart rate (Less than 45/min).

It is a standard practice to maintain the heart rate to 60 or above.

Based on your information, perhaps Telmisartan + Amlodipine taken together in the morning is causing dizziness. It would therefore be advisable if you take Telmisartan early morning, Amlodipine at noon and, Bisoprolol + HCTZ in the evening.

However, I am not right doctor to advise you- sitting thousands kilometers away from you. Your treating doctor is the best person to modify the drug schedule, depending on the BP records.
