OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
As per the BMI, she is borderline, on the higher end. This could be the reason for the delayed periods as slight hormonal imbalances are common with weight disturbances, stress, infections and also use of certain medications apart from the hormonal disorders like polycystic ovaries, hyperprolactinemia and so on. If simple remedies do not yield any result, further investigation and management becomes necessary. She may see a specialist if she does not see her period in a week. Please ask her to maintain a healthy weight and do some regular exercise. Hope this helps.
